GED Acquires Norfield, Inc. to Better Serve the Door Machinery, Construction and Remodeling Markets

Glenwillow, Ohio – February 18, 2021 | GED Integrated Solutions, Inc. (“GED”), a portfolio company of The Beekman Group (“Beekman”), announced that it has acquired Norfield, Inc. (“Norfield”), a California-based provider of automation equipment, parts, and services to the residential and commercial door manufacturing market. Norfield serves a diverse base of customers and is a leader in the pre-hung door machinery industry, with decades of experience providing value-added solutions. Norfield was founded in 1959 and has a tenured staff that has driven successful growth with excellent products and customer service. Norfield is headquartered in Chico, CA and has a second facility in the Raleigh, NC area.

GED has grown continually over the years through new product development and by providing exceptional products that assist window manufacturers to improve quality, increase production capabilities, and lower total costs. The acquisition of Norfield allows both GED and Norfield to leverage their unique assets and common ideals to continue to serve manufacturers of windows and doors with broader capabilities.

Bill Weaver, CEO of GED, commented, “We are highly impressed with Norfield’s market position, their product portfolio, and long-term customer relationships. Their successful history of serving the door manufacturing market and their focus on value-added solutions is a terrific match for GED, and we are thrilled to welcome them to the GED family. We believe we will accomplish more together in the years to come than we could as separate companies.”

Jeff Reed, Executive Chairman of GED added, “Norfield and GED are leaders in their respective equipment markets, and they share the same goals of delivering high quality products, services and aftermarket parts to their customers. The two businesses will complement each other well, and I along with Beekman and GED look forward to supporting their continued growth.”

GED and Norfield will leverage synergies among manufacturing, sales and technical service to provide customers with the combined strength of the two companies. Both GED and Norfield will retain their respective company brands.
