Leader in IG & Window Systems & Software Returns to Live Tradeshows
Glenwillow, Ohio – June 17, 2021 | GED Integrated Solutions (GED) is exhibiting at their first live tradeshow since the start of the pandemic. In September, GED will exhibit at GlassBuild America Expo in Atlanta, GA at booth 1739.
“We are excited to be seeing our customers and future customers in person this year at GlassBuild,” says John Moore, VP of Marketing at GED. “This year has taught us how to work remote from each other, but nothing replaces the face-to-face contact. We will be embracing new technologies to engage booth visitors with our equipment and software,” continues Moore.
Booth 1739 will feature several kiosk monitors playing product videos. A large display structure will play corporate and product videos on one side and feature a meeting area with a conference table and monitor on the other. A section of the booth will be designated for demonstrating GED’s popular WinTrax™ Intelligent Logistics System—a cutting-edge software system that uses RFID technology to locate window components throughout a window manufacturing facility. “We’ve made enhancements to the software that benefits the window manufacturing processes and distribution channels,” says Tony DiFiore, Software R&D Manager at GED. “With the introduction of the WinTrax Handheld, we’ll demonstrate the ease of finding windows versus using a barcode scanner,” continues DiFiore. Visitors will also be able to calculate their WinTrax savings using a new online cost savings calculator.
A large kiosk monitor will offer an inside look into a GED window manufacturing facility, giving visitors an opportunity to explore machine “checkpoints” (key features), rotate 3D machine renderings, watch product videos, view sales literature sheets and brochures in a resource library, and go directly to The GED Store where they can register and view 20,000+ genuine OEM parts for GED machines. “We’ve been developing interactive content that will immerse visitors in a booth experience that will bring our equipment and software to life,” says Laura Fiegelist, Marketing Communications Coordinator and GED’s tradeshow booth manager. She describes the interactive elements what will be utilized in GED’s booth:
Using interactive technology, we’re elevating our tradeshow presence in a way that educates booth-goers about what we do and presents a new way of looking at window, door, and glass manufacturing equipment and software. You’ll be able to tour a window plant that uses GED IG and Window Systems and Software and dive into each manufacturing stage, seeing how everything is connected. We’re really looking forward to showing off what we can do in this unique way!

“Using a combination of live software demonstrations and kiosk monitors with visual content will create unique learning experiences, especially for our new products,” says Moore. Since 2020, GED has introduced several new products to their IG and Window Systems including the following:
“Although this past year has had its challenges, we, at GED have not stopped. We acquired the door equipment manufacturer – Norfield (who will be in our booth at the show); we are now the North American distributor for Sparklike Oy products and calibration services; and we will be introducing two new IG components that will allow our customers to continue to manufacture IG as the great capacity, highest quality and lowest total coast,” Moore explains.
You won’t want to miss a visit to booth 1739 this year at GlassBuild America Expo September 13-15 in Atlanta, GA. Registration is now open at glassbuildamerica.com. We hope to see you there!
