About Intercept® 2.5 Spacer Fabrication System
With the Intercept® 2.5, industry professionals are assured of an easy transition, operation, and maintenance, along with improved productivity. Built to improve speed, it can produce spacers at up to 85 feet per minute, achieving up to 8 spacers per minute (without muntins). Industry professionals will recognize the familiar footprint and marvel at the very latest state-of-the-art technologies that easily enable production across the Intercept family—including Intercept® Extreme™, Intercept® Ultra, ThinPlate in Stainless and BlackLine — so fabricators can match IG thermal performance and aesthetics to application requirements.
Providing superior thermal performance, durability, and strength, Intercept 2.5 enables faster, less expensive production of insulating glass units than other systems. Not only does the 2.5 allow for “Just-in-Time” production in the order required without operator errors, but it also eliminates internal muntin grid misalignment with precise notching and snap-in muntin clips. The system is designed with a maintenance-first architecture to reduce MTBF and MTTR, while making operations and maintenance trouble-free. Patented technology ensures the integrity of the 4th corner matches that of the first 3 corners, for a consistent product.

Intercept® Extreme™ on Intercept 2.5
Intercept® Extreme™ is a thermally broken U-shaped spacer with stainless-steel side walls and a polymer bridge thermal break—designed to decouple thermal energy transfer while running on the Intercept machine platform.
